From G-Man to Full-Service Investigative Agency

Three Island sprouted its roots in Southern California as SoCal Drone Solutions, a side hustle while employed by the U.S. Government. Seeing the unconventional applications that drone technology could be used for, other than aerial photos for realtors, it branched into advanced thermal imaging for uses such as solar panel farm inspections, 3D modeling of large areas, advanced mapping, multi-spectral agricultural inspection, and training of Search and Rescue teams. With the advent of underwater drone technology becoming commercially available, SoCal Drone Solutions entered that market as well.
 
Upon retirement in 2022 and moving to Central Florida, Three Island Consulting and Investigations was born. In addition to general investigative duties, the employment of state-of-the-art technology can be leveraged in ways that clients previously never imagined. We are able to go wherever the investigation takes us.

Nate Deschenes
Private Investigator and Consultant

Nathan “Nate” Deschenes is a retired Special Agent with over 25 years of Federal Law Enforcement experience including assignments to the elite, U.S. Secret Service Presidential Protection Division (PPD), investigating terrorism in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 as a member of the Joint Terrorism Task Force, assignments to the Secret Service Los Angeles Organized Crime Squad, and the Protective Intelligence squad. He was also in charge of the Department of Defense’s Technical Operations unit within the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), managing and participating in covert electronic surveillance operations to include joint undercover operations with the Department of Homeland Security to secure United States weapons and technology. Nate has received advanced interview and interrogation training, conducted numerous, high profile surveillance operations, and was a firearms and use of force instructor. He is a Florida “C” licensed Private Investigator as well as a Florida “A” licensed Private Investigative Agency.
 
Nate is an adjunct professor at multiple universities and holds a Masters degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University as well as a Juris Doctor from Taft Law School. He is also an accomplished SCUBA diver, helicopter pilot and FAA certified drone pilot.
